Moroccan businessman Samir Belhseine was able to obtain a license from the American
Football Federation and the American Professional League to establish a professional team in
the Syracuse area.
Belhseine, who arrived in America in 1989 and made a name for himself in the field of finance
and business, told Radio Mars that his youngest son's passion for soccer had prompted him to
consider investing in the field by establishing a professional team in Syracuse.
Belhseine added that it is not easy, because the American Soccer Federation and the American
Soccer League impose strict conditions in the book of campaigns, including large financial
guarantees, and a sports infrastructure at the level of a professional team, which he was able to provide through the support of local authorities, who documented his project and placed at his
disposal a beautiful stadium that can hold about 3000 spectators and an academy for the youth, and will build a large stadium for the team in the coming years.
Syracuse will build on a policy of recruiting young people from around the world, using world-class frameworks and a women's football team.
Samir Belhseine, through the AC Syracuse team, which will start the competition next season in the third professional category, aspires to help the Moroccan talent, by joining them in the club's academy to complete their football and academic formation, as well as to attract Moroccan cadres who will have academic training to work with the club.
