In without a doubt the best game ever played at Dart Diamond, we finally had a victor. After 14 innings, The Four Horsemen were able to hand The Prospects their first loss. This game was all pitching. In an Ace vs Ace battle, both Brennan Miller and Ari Field racked up over 30 strike outs each and were practically untouchable. The Prospects netted their 2 runs thanks to solo shots by Max Isaac and Steve Heumann.
The Prospects took that 2-0 lead into the 6th and looked as if they were gonna hold on. Then up stepped Ben Bachrach. The Four Horsemen captain tied the game with a controversial 2 run, 2 out blast that hugged the left field foul pole.
Then came the extra innings, neither team could garner any movement until the 14th. Then thanks to an executive order from Commissioner Jack Powers, both teams started with a runner on second and a 2-0 count. The Four Horsemen pushed across in the top half. But then in the bottom half, the Prospects had a runner on third with one out and failed to drive him in.
Following the game, both these teams sit in similar spots. With one week in the regular season, both of these teams are still in the hunt for the top overall seed.
Final score
