In a game that felt much more single sided than the final score indicates, Wegman’s Wifflebaggers took the win, 9-4.
One of the greatest team efforts of the year. Tyler Rogers, Lee Holbert, Dylan Kanner and Quintin Pelzel all had excellent days at the plate, but the highlight of the game belonged to Pelzel. The usually stout hitting right handed hitter decided to switch over to the left side and on his first swing, he left the park.
Did I forget to mention the Grand Slam from Dylan Kanner? Kanner sent a ball deep over the fence to clear the bases for the Wiffle Baggers. This gave them insurance runs and comfort in a close game with the Washington Wiffle Ball Team.
Long balls were the story for the Washington Wiffleball Team. All of their runs were due to solo shots, including an absolute moonshot by Jake Shelley.
Washington Wiffleball Team remains winless and Wegmans Wiffle Baggers has put themselves into a strong position for a top seed.
