Ari Field. Any Day. Any time. Any Place. The right handed redhead walked in and made Dart Diamond his own and proved that as long he’s on the mound, The Prospects have a shot. Field went the distance and struck out 16 of the 18 recorded outs. To go along with the shut out, Field also clubbed two homers, including the furthest big fly in Dart Diamonds history. Making his Ithaca Wiffleball debut, Max Isaac also launched one out of the park.
This game was more of a pitchers duel than the final score lead on. Until a 5 run 4th inning, Is Team Ace Jeremy “Germ” Putnam had The Prospects figured out thanks in large part to his potent breaking ball and unique release point.
With the win, The Prospects will most likely remain in first thanks to their 2-0 record and a run differential of +11. On the other hand, the loss for Is Team sinks them to 0-2 and puts them on must win mode from here on out.
